Practical activity: Criteria to set suitable learning outcomes
Set appropriate learning objectives based on the lesson plan you prepared in the previous module (here).
- Remember that we set learning objectives to give students an all-round learning experience. So think about whether the average student can achieve these learning goals.
- Remember that learning new things means using everything we already know as a basis. So, think about what your students have already studied and think about their possible improvements.
- Always remember that students have specific needs: need to know, need to understand, need to do. So, when you think about what you want to teach them, think above all about what they need to learn.
- Remember that even a teacher never stops learning. Depending on your assessment, you may have to modify your learning objectives!
