This module will help you to understand the principles and the importance of using non-formal methodologies within the frame of Task-Based Language teaching, as well as some basic ideas of the TBLT methodology and the characteristics of being a language teacher.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Understand the concepts of non-formal education, and how it can be used for language teaching;
- Understand
the basic structure of TBLT (pre-task; task cycle and post-task) and why it can
be useful for language teaching;
- Understand the importance of language awareness for language teachers.

1.2 Non-formal education & language teaching

Through the following videos and activities, you will learn about the basic characteristics of the Task-Based Language teaching methodology.
1.4 Language awareness
A language teacher should be prepared and and expert in the language that he or she teaches. To be an expert, means that you are language aware and in this section you will learn all about it!
